Description:
The new ECS Notes/ACT transfer link is designed to be a high performance and easy to use tool.
Our data transfer link is shown in the below process diagram with the following steps:
1) A Notes client user starts a menu based macro, which causes the transfer process to copy all new records into the notes "base form" from the ACT* database.
2) Then a replication starts to update the new records from the Notes database to the notes server, and receive new contacts from the server.
3) The new contacts in the notes database are then updated into ACT*.
You can also customize the process for your own environment.
Other features/capabilities:
* The Notes to ACT link can also be integrated with our comprehensive Field Force Automation prospect manager database.
* A history record of transfers between ACT* and Notes is kept.
* All fields from the main .dbf contact ACT* contact are transferred.
* Documentation is provided to allow users and developers to integrate the notes template "transfer form" we provide, with their own Notes based contact manager tools.

* A Lotus Notes Windows 3.1 Desktop or Full Client
(Upgrade in progrss for Windows95)
* 2MB disk space
* ACT 2.0 or later for Windows
